I designed the Aerogramme pocket notebook to pay homage to the legendary red and blue striped airmail of the mid 20th century to celebrate the art of letter writing. While international Air Mail was discontinued in 1990s and email took hold - the joy of receiving a red and blue stripped Air Mail letter from another slice of the globe was lost. I wanted to bring a little of it back.

As I kid, I remember my gram receiving Air Mail from her best friend across the pond. Just before Air Mail gave way to regular first class and then email in the mid-90s, I remember her receiving the letters on that onion slice thin blue paper folded over to form its own self-containing envelope. Even back then I thought what a wonderfully weird little thing. To her, as someone who worked at the Post Office before World War II, it was a letter from a dear friend which kept her connected.

This Aerogramme memobook is a small way to celebrate the legacy of the iconic blue and red of Air Mail.

This pack comes with 3 separate 48 page pocket-sized notebook with three designs inspired by air mail designs in the US, UK and France.

Pop Notes was created by printmakers for everyone who loves a genuine analog experience.

About Riso

Risograph is an imperfect printing process that has a certain character but that does come with imperfections. Art prints, cards and other stationary may have imperfections such as mis-registration, track marks, some ink coverage issues and ink offsetting.

Think of it like the feel of newspaper ink but the uniqueness and vibrancy of a comic book just on better paper. This is why Risographs are truly one-of-a-kind and why Risograph printers love it.
